I know a man named CHEUNG CHIK LIX.

He is well known at Shaukiwan as a fisherman.

On 6.6.1935, CHEUNG CHIK LIN placed

an order with our firm to build him a junk 60 feet by 22

feet wide by 8 feet deep. The contract price for the boat was $3900.00 and another $100.00 for gear. The boat was

completed and handed over about 40 days later.

CHEUNG CHIK

LIN had meanwhile paid $2800.00 and the balance was paid

off in instalments by June 1937. In the account book which

I produce now at the Water Police Station, there is a

complete record of this transaction with CHEUNG CHIK LIN.

was

When he took over this boat it was licensed at Shaukiwan

and given the number 291.
